U.S. defense startup Mara announced a $7 million pre-seed funding round led by Khosla Ventures to advance its Spike counter-drone platform against small FPV drones. The company plans to move Spike from field testing toward broader deployment, targeting ground-based systems with key customers by end of 2026 and vehicle- and man-portable variants in 2027.
