Anthropic reported that its Claude-based wet lab autonomously discovered a novel enzyme system with CRISPR-like DNA repeats

Anthropic said its wet-lab life sciences team used Claude with many parallel agent searches to analyze DNA data and identify a previously uncharacterized enzyme system. The company reported that the system, which it calls ART, contains CRISPR-like repeat sequences and that it is beginning further experiments to determine its function.
