Anthropic introduced and opened a research preview of the Model Hardware Standard (MHS), which provides a unified interface for AI agents to discover, interface with, and control physical devices such as laboratory instruments. The company said MHS can reduce setup and device-integration time and enable safety constraints to be enforced through the standardized driver.
