Two pieces of coverage highlighted new findings on AI-driven job displacement and creation. McKinsey Global Institute projected that automation could eliminate about 36 million U.S. jobs while creating about 41 million elsewhere by 2035, and also estimated that around 11 million workers may need to switch occupations entirely. Separately, Richard Florida discussed evidence of employment declines in parts of the creative sector and argued that AI will shift which creative tasks are most valuable.
