Nigel Toon is CEO and co-founder of Graphcore, a British semiconductor company that develops processors for artificial intelligence and machine learning workloads. He co-founded Graphcore in 2016 with Simon Knowles, after the two had previously worked together at another semiconductor company, building a team in Bristol, UK to design a processor built specifically for machine intelligence, known as the Intelligence Processing Unit (IPU).
