Sakana AI, a Tokyo-based company, launched four products in rapid succession starting March 2026 under a newly established product development unit led by Sota Omura. The company's Fugu-ultra 1.1 model was used by their defense and intelligence team to build an open-source intelligence analysis agent that achieved 5th place out of over 850 teams in the Diver OSINT CTF 2026 competition.
