OpenAI announced the removal of accounts associated with two separate state-linked coordinated inauthentic behavior networks: Operation Zero Zeno, linked to Israel, and IUVM, linked to Iran. Both operations had used AI systems to generate and distribute propaganda content across multiple platforms, with Zero Zeno promoting pro-Israel narratives and IUVM promoting Iranian state positions while criticizing Israel and the US.
