Google DeepMind announced a National Partnership for AI with Indian government bodies, providing $30 million in grants, converting 2 million textbooks into AI-interactive versions for 2,000 schools, and deploying AI tools like AlphaGenome and Earth AI for researchers. Concurrently, OpenAI announced a dedicated initiative for India focused on expanding access to its AI tools, building local infrastructure, and developing workforce training capabilities.
