British Business Bank invests in Science-for-Impact Fund
Funding Provisional 92% confidence first seen
The British Business Bank agreed to commit up to £46 million to Zinc Capital Management’s second institutional fund, the Science-for-Impact Fund, through its Enterprise Capital Funds programme. The reported purpose is to help Zinc grow its portfolio toward 80 new UK deep-tech companies and target a £70m fund size, supporting early-stage investments in health and environmental technologies, including AI-related applications. The commitment follows the Bank’s prior 2022 commitment to Zinc II and matters as it expands long-term equity support for UK deep-tech fund-building under a government-linked investment framework.
